Position:   Bank Examiner (entry level) – 9 Posts

Reports to:   Head of Division 

Contract type:   Permanent and Pensionable 

To analyse and review the financial position and performance of banks and financial institutions and make appropriate recommendations.

Key Performance Areas:

Carry out analysis and evaluation of applications for banking licences and provide appropriate recommendations;

Review periodic reports from banks and financial institutions to monitor performance and financial condition and prepare  relevant reports;

Conduct on-site examinations and off-site surveillance of assigned financial institutions;

Develop and update institutional profile of banks and financial institutions;

Provide inputs for the development and review of laws, regulations, circulars and guidelines for banking and financial institutions on various supervisory issues;

Prepare learning materials and participate in delivering seminars and workshops to financial institutions on prudential aspects;

Perform other related duties as may be assigned.

Education/Professional Qualifications required:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance from accredited institution with at least upper second class.
  • CPA (T) qualification or its equivalent.
  • Fresh graduate or with experience of not more than three (3) years.

  • Certificates from foreign examination bodies for ordinary and advanced level education should be verified by the National Examination Council of Tanzania (NECTA).
  • Certificates from foreign Universities should be verified by Tanzania Commission for Universities (TCU).
